La Roca de Tiza, a romantic three room
mountain home, the perfect wedding
reception and anniversary location,
is a hidden gem on five wooded acres.
On the bank of Chalk Creek, the view of
the Chalk Cliffs is spectacular. Due to our
location in the 'Banana Belt' of Colorado,
we have cool, sunny summer days and
mild winter sun-drenched afternoons.
La Roca's interior is casually elegant
with an exposed post and beam
construction. The two fireplaces are
wonderful areas around which to chat,
relax and enjoy the peace of the valley.
You may wish to walk to the creek, simply
swing on the deck, or enjoy the hot tub
filled with water from our hot water well.
We are in Chalk Creek Canyon, truly nestled
between 14,000 foot peaks, in the San Isabel
National Forest.
In the morning, a full mountain breakfast will be served in the dining room or on the deck. If you have special dieting needs, we will provide assistance. A variety of packed lunches to take with you for the day can be provided for a small additional charge.
In your room you will find a snack basket, tempting with fruit, cookies and chocolate. We are happy to provide coffee, tea, and iced tea when requested all day long. In the evening a glass of wine or cocktail will be offered while you watch the sun go down or gaze at the fireplace flames.
La Roca de Tiza is a lovely spot for an elegant, intimate CO wedding, reception or anniversary. In Spring, Summer and Fall there are several unique locations for your wedding and reception, including the deck overlooking Chalk Creek, a wildflower meadow just in front of the home or creekside.
In the CO winter season, we have two separate cozy fireplaces--a perfect location for your winter wedding and reception. A wedding consultant is available to help you plan the ceremony of your dreams.
The bridal suite is available for use by the bridal party and, of course, the bride and groom. The room is large and has a magnificent view of the night sky from the wrap-around deck. Whether celebrating your wedding or anniversary, you can toast the day of days with a bottle of chilled champagne.
